The Shepherd's House

Rev. Dr. Mohanan Unni was born in Malaysia and raised in South India as an orthodox Hindu. In 1980, Dr. Unni came to the USA for his college education. He attended Boston University where he was able to study Systems Engineering, and also serve as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the College of Engineering. In 1985 he obtained both his graduate and under-graduate from Boston University in the field of Systems Engineering. From 1986 to 1989, Dr. Unni served as an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern University (School of Engineering Technology) in Boston, MA, where he taught undergraduate courses Electronics and Control Systems.  In 1992, he married his beautiful wife Victoria, and in 1993, they had their amazing son, Caleb Jules Unni.

Since 1986 Dr. Unni has served in corporate America (Polaroid, Intergraph, Inspectron, Midas Vision, Schneider Electric, etc.) as an Electronics-Systems Engineer, and eventually as a Director of Research and Development, leading multi-discipline teams of engineers in the development of key imaging systems technologies. In 2002, Dr. Unni founded an engineering company, Imagement LLC which specializes in developing high-speed vision processing products. The Corporate Business Goal of Imagement was to ensure that the most cost-effective and technology-efficient solution was provided to meet the customers demanding vision-processing needs. The Corporate Christ-Centric Goal of Imagement was to provide a stable financial foundation for Community Transformation.

From 1996 to 2006, Dr. Unni served in ministry at the International Family Church, Winchester, MA, as a Director of Adult Christian Education, a mentor for business-people and a pulpit minister. In 2003, he earned his Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) degree, and in 2006, he earned his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree, both from the King’s College and Seminary, Van Nuys, California. . Dr. Unni also serves as an adjunct teaching faculty member at the King’s College and Seminary (currently known as King’s University) where he instructs pastors and church leaders on Biblical Theology related to Community Transformation and Marketplace Ministry.

Dr. Unni and his lovely bride, Victoria currently serve as the Senior Pastors of a local church, the Shepherd’s House in Woburn, MA (www.tshmin.org). The Shepherd’s House is associated with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Under Dr. Unni’s servant-leadership, the Shepherd’s House is attempting to spear-head a community transformation program called “Hope for the City,” which assists needy High-School Students in Woburn area with College Prep, Science and Math after-school tutoring programs.
